Executive Summary Mission To create job training and employment opportunities for at risk youth and young adults in the field of construction, re-modeling, and painting. The program will purchase and rehab vacant properties from the City of Rochester. With this plan we hope to accomplish our goals of training/employing the youth while rehabbing the City.
Company SQLS Inc was founded in Nov of 2003 and our primary focus is providing food, clothing, and shelter to needy families. After the basic needs are met we continue working with families on Job training, parenting skills, life skills, alcohol and drug treatment, and crime prevention. Business We provide a valuable service in the community by way of inspiring hope, pride, instilling faith, morals and principals. Our company would like to service as many people as possible and we will need grants and/or loans to achieve this goal.
In the most recent months, our company has given away clothes and food to over 100 people in need. Due to our limited size and space we were not able to help as many people as we would have liked to! Along with this grant I would like to request a few city properties and use the some of the funds to rehab said locations. Product or Service The company basically takes at-risk youth to include young adults and poor neighborhoods and invests time, money and effort to create a new person and new neighborhood. Presently, our service is at the introductory stage. We plan to grow this service with the grants and/or loans obtained from as many sources as possible. Critical factors are the ability to obtain grants and/or loans and the ability to purchase property from the City at a low cost. The Market The market that we are after is teens 14-19 and young adult 19-25 and house in the inner City. Competition There is little competition if any; we feel that this is a unique service that is needed to improve our quality of life in the City of Rochester.
