Defeat the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act!
Primary tabs
In protest of the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act, the Howard Stern Show is being broadcast, without authorization, 24 hours a day on the Streamer P2P radio network. LIVE Mon-Fri: 6am-11am EST, with repeats every 4 to 5 hours.
This is to be considered a supplement to -- not a replacement for -- The Howard Stern radio show.
The broadcasters have no affiliation with Howard Stern, the Streamerp2p software developers, the Howard Stern Show, Infinity Broadcasting, Clear Channel Communications, www.ClearChannelSucks.info, www.koam.com, www.stopfcc.com, www.creativecoalition.com, www.johnkerry.com, or the U.S. Senate -- we're just fans of Howard and believers in free speech.
Our hope is to encourage more people to join the fight against both the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act and the Bush Administration that is ramming it down our throats. Read the actual bill and follow its progress at http://thomas.loc.gov
To listen to the broadcast, you will need
Streamer www.streamerp2p.com (it's free, small, and safe)
Winamp www.winamp.com
Windows (ugh! but they're working on Linux and Mac versions)
After installing and running the software:
Browse to www.streamerp2p.com
Look in the stations list for "The Howard Stern Show"
Click on the "streamer" logo of the station
Enjoy
If your browser doesn't automatically open the stream, then just look in the stations-list of the streamer program itself, find "The Howard Stern Show", double-click on it and enjoy.
Please CALL your senators at (202) 224-3121 and defeat this bill.
Everyone's freedom of speech depends on you.
P.S.
The Streamer P2P Network is a free, worldwide, community-organized, decentralized network of internet radio broadcasters. Everyone who listens to the broadcast on the network automatically rebroadcasts the program to even more listeners/rebroadcasters. In other words, the more people that tune in, the easier it becomes for more people to tune in...to ANYBODY'S ideas.
